Fire Proof Glass

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR SAFE AREAS

FIRE SAFE GLASS TECHNOLOGY

  • Fire-resistant glass is a specialized type of glass designed to withstand high temperatures, prevent the spread of fire, and enhance safety.
  • These glasses prevent the glass from breaking during a fire, ensuring the safety of lives and property by restricting the passage of flames, smoke, and heat.
  • Fire-resistant glass is commonly used in building security, fire protection systems, and fire partition walls.
  • Fire-resistant glass primarily helps prevent the passage of heat, smoke, and gases by maintaining the glass's physical integrity during a fire.
  • Fire-resistant glass primarily works by preserving its physical integrity during a fire, which helps prevent the transmission of heat, smoke, and gases.

      FIRE PROOF GLASSES DETAILS

There is three type marking for fire proof glass classification.

      • E = Flame resistant,product keeps its integrity.
      • W = Limited radiation,avoids radiation within its time.
      • I = Isolation, not to transfer the heat to another side within its time.

      The available periods are 30, 45, 60, 90, 120 minutes.

The thickness of fire-resistant glass varies depending on whether it's used for exterior or interior applications. When fire-resistant glass is part of a double glazing unit, it is essential to replace it with fire-resistant glass to ensure protection against potential fire hazards.

      CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES

      High Heat Resistance

      High Heat Resistance

Fire-resistant glass can endure high temperatures, even in environments where temperatures rise quickly and flames intensify. These glasses can tolerate temperatures ranging from 300°C to 1200°C, with heat resistance varying based on the type of glass used and the manufacturing process.
      Fire Resistance

      Fire Resistance

These glasses are specifically designed to prevent the spread of fire. They keep the glass from breaking during a fire and limit the passage of flames, helping to contain the fire to one area. In particular, Class E (heat-resistant only) and Class EI (resistant to both heat and smoke) glasses offer long-lasting safety.

      Heat Insulation

Fire-resistant glass helps regulate temperature differences in interior spaces. During a fire, it limits heat transfer between the high temperatures outside and the cooler interior, minimizing the fire's impact on the surrounding environment.

      Physical Endurance

Fire-resistant glass is designed to minimize the risk of cracking or breaking. Most fire-resistant glass is reinforced with multi-layered structures, ensuring that its physical integrity remains intact even during a fire.

Preventing the Passage of Smoke and Gas

During a fire, both the flames and the toxic smoke and gases pose significant threats to life. Fire-resistant glass helps maintain air quality in indoor spaces by blocking the passage of these harmful substances.

      Aesthetics

Fire-resistant glass also provides notable aesthetic benefits. While ensuring fire safety, it enhances interior design by offering a clear, transparent, and visually appealing appearance. These glasses are commonly used to maintain visibility and allow natural light into spaces.
